Lets see what we did today... We learned how to calculate your raise and how to find a percentage of a raise. The assaignment we had to do was a sheet with assaignment 7 and 8 on both sides. To find find the percentage of a raise you take amount paid divided by your old pay then multiply by 100 and you get your answer. To find your new pay to calculate your raise you multiply you wage/hourly pay by the percent of increase you get then you add the answer you got by the wage/pay you make then you got your answer. Well once again we had a sub today. Therefore we didn't do much but work on our assignment from the past few days. We also got a new assignment handed out to us, but I don't think it is homework because it wasn't assigned as homework.
Besides the teacher problem/mix-up(whatever you want to call it) this morning, that was pretty much the day.

Well today in class we had a sub so we just worked on our assignment from yesterday (green booklet----> pgs. 40-53, questions 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 11+12). And that was pretty much the math class.

Hey Everyone!!!
I just wanted to say... HAPPY PIE DAY!!!

And since nobody is doing the blog anymore... I will.
So Today our "Keeping Track Of Time" quizzez were handed back to us marked. It was out of 15 and if you didn't get over 10 on it and or you are having trouble understanding this or any of the other work, you should be asking for help.
We also worked on our assignment today. For thoes of you who don't know or may have forgotten the assignment is from page 40-52 questions 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 11 and 12. Questions 1, 2 and 4 are to be done on looseleaf and the rest of them are to be done on the "Time Card" templates. You don't have to complete all of the work today as we will have some time tomorrow in class to finish them up.
TODAY'S HOMEWORK: Complete, for tomorrow, questions 1, 2, 4 and 5 in the green booklet (starting on page 40).

Unit Test?

Okay so that "Unit Test" was easy.. I didnt study at all for it and still found that I could complete everything on it. All of our tests should be like that.. because then yea.. the class would be cool like that =P

Whats the new unit we are starting and what do we do with the table of contents.? do we just get all the work we did and form like a booklet or something??

This morning we started off with a review on reconciling a bank statement. You should have come to the answer of $2 225.20. We then went over our latest assignment - Questions 3, 4 and 5, on pages 119-121. Towards the end of the class we learned how to fill out a transaction record if we were to use the internet to pay our bills. Lastly, we played the transaction record game that we played on Friday.

!!!Remember!!!

-We have a QUIZ on Reconciling a Bank Statement tomorrow (February 22).

-We have a unit TEST on Friday (February 24).

Today in class, as always, we learned something new. We learned how to reocncile a bank statement. I found the work to be easy and useful for the future. It's amazing how much math is related to banking. Also, generally speaking, the "quiz" we had on friday was quite easy. It was nothing new. In addition to that, we had a lot of practice and work before that so we were quite confident entering the quiz. I hope you found this blog entry to be useful and interesting. Well, this friday I believe we started off the class with a transaction review. We then corrected the transactoin questions from the previous class. After then we had to do a quiz on transacion records . For the rest of the class we played a game about transaction record which I found quite intresting. Thats all for now, going to hit the hay.

sooo, that was a huge waste of time..(the assembly), they didnt really have
anny good news. only bad news, it really sucked, it really sued for me because i
had to go to it twice because of chemistry...grrr... did anyone else have to go twice??
what did you all think about the cell phone rule???.. me personally i didnt like it, i like being able to use my phone for a calculater when i forget mine at home, or being able to talk to my friends through text messeges..
but i guess theres nothing that you can really do about.

Hi class,

On Friday we learned how to fill out a deposit slip, and a cheque. I have seen this before in my grade 9 skills, class. This material seemed to be easy to grab, although i had a few questions here and there. The questions that are needed be completed are 2-9 and 12, but omit number 7. The questions are not due till Tuesday the 14th.
Oh in class, we found out not to put our phone numbers on the internet, escpecially on this blog, so stalkers won't be doing their job within two clicks. Thats about all i can remember, so yeah.

Haha.. Well People can learn from my mistake.. but It's all gravy cause I put a block on myspace.. so you have to be a friend in order to see my page.. But I guess I should still be careful.. And today I missed class.. but I'm kinda glad I did cause It sounded like I got into madd trouble = I don't know if we did anything important at the begenning but I heard everyone was in the mac lab and visited my blog... which I put No effort into what so ever..

That Money game Kinda got repetitive so I stoped.. It only like asks you 10 questions or so.. but yea.. Unless it gives me real money..bleh.

Class was easy but I was late. And I think I missed something. Those Deposite slips started to get Annoying after the third one.. And I started to laugh at the lame names "Morris Stein, Inga Van, Ranj Panikkar"

I have a question for these Booklets you gave us. Can we draw/write in them.. Because I kinda already did =/

Here's a game that you can play to practice making change. You can work your way up from easy to super hard levels but make sure you choose the Canadian Currency.

If you are curious, you can find out what Mexican pesos, English pounds, Australian dollars, and American dollars look like. Check it out and try giving change in different currencies. You never know where life may take you.
